Starting the Bedroom

Long ago I shared Jayne's safari room we created. Well, that was 5 years ago! He is tuning 5 now and it is time to de-nursery his room. For his birthday gift we are remaking his room to be Star Wars themed. It is still a work in progress at this point since there is no A/C in his room and you are not supposed to paint in 90+ heat. Here are a few of the parts we have finished though.

I found these super cute "baby" Star Wars characters in a yahoo search. I mounted them on solid scrapbook paper and they took he place of the baby animal pics in the frames. The frames will be painted one of the greys from the drawers below.

This super fantastic poster was already in his room. It now gets a spot in his poster frame instead of his giant zebra print. This frame will be painted too.

This is the one project that is completely finished. This set of drawers came from my mom's house and were purple. The are now a cool grey. He has 2 of these and they house most of his toys. A drawer for dinos, a drawer for cars, and so on. It is great for organizing and look nicer than a bunch of open bins. Plus they were free, which is always in our budget.

We still have to paint the walls and ceiling. Adam has also made a light saber sconce! It is super cool and will be mounted on the wall. As long as we are able to finish in time for his party I will be happy.

It's looking super already! I can't wait to see it when you're finished. Are you sad to have to paint over the nursery or excited?Sally x

I am excited, but little guy is little sad to see the animals go. I think he is going to love the end result though : )
