Valentines Goodies

I made heart quesadillas with tomato tortillas for a sort of red orange color.. Easy to do, just use a regular cookie cutter.

Snack time is popcorn...we love pop corn at our house, with topping of any kind!

Our Valentine popcorn has strawberry popcorn seasoning from Dell Cove Spices and some conversation hearts for good measure.

Be Mine

I know it is still a little early to give my little guy his Valentine, but I simply couldn't wait. I used my pile of felt scraps to make him a Minecraft playset. It was a huge hit! It is nice to have him off the screen but still 100% imersed. It is a great way to keep him busy and quiet at church, appointment, and when I just need some time alone. The bonus is that it works on his fine motor skills and creativity. He are some pics...
Me MINE...get it? And, yes, I know the pig is in the water. Somehow the animals in the game always end up floating in the water.

I made 6 characters too: Steve, spider, creeper, skeleton, zombie, and pig.

Building and building!

Other than the 6 characters the rest of the set is just tiny squares of felt.

Valentines

Jayne made some very fun valentines for a couple of his little friends. He had so much fun making them and they were very easy. What we used for this project:
  • construction paper
  • printed phrases (You melt my heart valentine)
  • freezie pops (not frozen, "melted")
  • freezie sleeves
  • scissors
  • glue stick
Jayne cuts out the heart layers

Our crafting supplies

The sayings are glued to the colored paper and the freezies are sleeved.

White heart, freezie, then colored heart glued at the sides to make a lovely freezie pop sandwich.

Jayne models the finished product!
You can find freezie sleeves at thecrazyelephantboutique.com!
