We did our last craft show recently. It was a nice day and it was our last mainly because we are going to go pads only in our shop and pads sell great online but not well in small town MN. The big new thing though was that my little guy was selling his confetti at his first show. He even sold his first bag which was incredibly exciting! Below is a photo of our display. His confetti is on top of one of the center boxes.

Spring Cleaning Sale

Grand Opening

After 2 weeks of hard work, our new shop front is open for business! I will start off with the best for for my shoppers then go on to a tour of the new shop.

 Here is the home page. Each category has a lovely picture to give you an idea of what you are getting yourself into. A benefit of the new page is that each type of item gets it's own category, no more sharing like in the etsy shop. It makes it easy to go right to the item you are looking for.

 A few of the categories click right into a sub category. This way you can easily find the pad or bow you are looking for and don't have to sift through all the different types to find the heavy absorbency short pad you are looking for. As you can see, the bows are now available as well! You can only find our eco felt bows on the new site.

This is my favorite part, if I had to choose from all the different parts I like, is the color option. The cloud print flannels for instance have 6 color options in the cloud listing. It means only 1 listing worth of work for me and easy for my shoppers to get all the colors they want. So keep an eye out for the "many colors available" title to find lots of options. One last little perk you will find is that I have lowered the multiple item shipping fee for this site only. I am saving on listing fees and so I am extending that to my customers. Discontinuing

It happens every so often, something has to be discontinued. I have spent a lot of time tracking my sales and what is being sold. It is important to me so that I can spend more time working on the items everyone loves and not waste time on the ones that are less popular. So, below are the lines that are going by the wayside. Once the listings expire, they won't be back (except at live shows). So, if you have been eyeing one of these item categories, you should get them before they are gone!

The holidays are quickly approaching and it is time to think day after thanksgiving shopping! It is small enough to toss in your purse, so you will have it ready to go when you need a quiet shopping moment or to keep the kids occupied on the car ride to all the holiday celebrations.

The Super Hero Roll

The super hero roll is perfect for your little guy's little imaginext heros. There is space for 4 mini action figures plus it opens out into a city scape playmat! It is easy to use. Just put your heros and villians in the pocket, fold it in half and roll it up. It stays put with a ribbon tie. Jayne was so excited about it, asking me when it was going to be ready. I gave it to him this morning and he had the biggest smile. He even figured out that he could match up the car roll road with the city street, something I did not do intentionally! Now him and his Daddy are playing batman on his new roll. We will be bringing this bad boy with us to the wedding we are going to this weekend!

I am Back!

I am online again. We are still working on the problem with my computer though, and by "we" I mean Adam. I have to use my computer in safe mode. If you ever have you know that it looks similar to windows 95. I am able to get both of our Crazy Elephant shops up and running though and I got 2 of the new crayon rolls listed on etsy already (http://thecrazyelephant.etsy.com). It will probably be some weeks before my computer is back to normal, but it is usable.

The Rolling Stone show went great! I nearly sold out of boy's owie fixers and I got some really great feedback on the new mini crayon rolls. It turned out to be our best show to date! It may take a while to get restocked on a few things, but that is a good thing. Since the computer was down before here is the super awesome ad that I made for our new rolls. Jayne loves getting his picture taken and showing off and I think it worked well this time.

TCE August Preview

It is a big month for The Crazy Elephant Boutique! This month is our 2nd birthday. Today I am going to give you a preview of what the month has in store.

Our Line - I have created a new line and I will be launching it tomorrow! We have also done some price changes. I have done them already and for the items we have in our shops currently there was only one item that went up. The big deal though is the drop in the price of our lunch packs, perfect with back to school shopping under way.

Last Night's Show

The weather was nice! We got to be in the shade and we didn't even need to put up the tent. Adam was able to come with me and that meant an evening of grown up time for us. It was really great! We saw lots of adorable kids and made some "interesting" sales. We will be showing at the Zumbrota Block Party again next month on the evening of the 18th. I am looking forward to it!

 

During our down times we discussed our upcoming birthday. That's right, The Crazy Elephant turns 2 next month! We have decided to take a look at our pricing, so you will notice some changes there (some up, some down). There will be a new line launched. We will be doing 3 shows, 2 days at Rolling Stone and 1 day at Zumbrota. There might be more happening, but that is all we have planned so far. I look forward to sharing our birthday with all of you!

Zumbrota Block Party Tomorrow

I will be showing at the Zumbrota Block Party tomorrow night! The event is on the main drag in Zumbrota, MN. It runs from 5pm to 8pm. That means the heat should be down a little. I will have tons of freezie sleeves, including new colors and have restocked my tissues with some new prints. Come check us out and save on shipping!
